TRIP TO UTAH!

This past weekend was simply wonderful! SLC was so beautiful and conference was so amazing! Ian and I had such a great time. It was fun to see nikky and meet john, for the first time in real life haha, and it was also nice to meet Ian's aunt and uncle. I had a great time spending saturday with liz and her family and watching conference with them. We had such a wonderful Easter weekend overall, and now I am ready to go home to my wonderful family, that I have missed SO SO much! woohoo... here are some pics from conference weekend xoxo

THE BEST TEAM EVER!

So Being on this team has been the best experience ever! I have learned so much since I have been here. The thing I love the most about this team is that you can just feel the love everyone has for each other, there are no judgments, meanness, or drama... I love it! When I dance on this team I feel a certain spirit that can't be found elsewhere, and it makes me feel my saviors love =) Anyway these are just some random pictures taken a while ago, I'll hopefully have ones from the past 5 shows up soon, woohoo!

Welcome to the good life...

Wow ok so I have not updated my blog in quite a long time... and A LOT has changed, so here we go =) Well I am currently a freshman at BYUI, I absolutely love it here! Today we had our last Extravadance show it was awesome! It has been a pretty winter and now hopefully the snow will melt soon... all my classes are going well, except things would be a lil easier if I was good at math haha. I have the most wonderful boyfriend in the world, and I'm so lucky to have him in my life, he's truly amazing =) The one thing thats hard is not being able to be around my family and old friends I miss them dearly, things just aren't the same without them, but hey we all have to take that step that helps us grow right? So besides missing my loved ones I truly am having the time of my life, I've made wonderful friends who have been there for me whenever I need them, and I have been able to finally been able to spend time with Ian regularly, I'm so glad we are out of the long distance thing right now... its gonna suck when we are apart again but it will be worth it =) alright it is now my bed time and im exhausted so I am going to turn on I love Lucy and go to sleep. Sorry it's been so long my friends love and miss you all!!! xoxo gn

SUMMER FUN

SO THIS PAST WEEK HAS BEEN PRETTY AWESOME! SO IT STARTED OUT AFTER DANCE, WITH A SUPER FUN ADVENTURE WITH MY BEST FRIEND MELISSA, WHEN WE FOUND OUR SECRET SPOT... IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO PEACEFUL. THERE WERE FLOWERS EVERYWHERE AND A CUTE LITLE LOG, ACTUALLY IT WASN'T LITTLE BUT ANYWAY WE

HAD SO MUCH FUN :) THEN FOR FOR THE 4TH OF JULY I WENT WITH MELISSA AND HER FAMILY TO OCEAN SHORES AND SHE PRETTY MUCH SLEPT ON MY LAP AND MADE MY LEG FALL ASLEEP FOR THE WHOLE CAR RIDE ;) JK. IT WAS SO NICE TO HANG OUT ON THE BEACH AND RELAX. P.S. THE FIREWORKS WERE INSANE!!! THEN ME AND MY FRIENDS FROM MY BRANCH WENT TO EATONVILLE FALLS EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR P-DAY BECAUSE ONE OF OUR FAVORITE MISSIONARIES (ELDER HUNT) WAS GOING HOME THE NEXT DAY, HE'S SUCH AN AMAZING PERSON! AND THEN ME AND MY FRIENDS TOOK HIM AND THE OTHER MISSIONARIES TO A PARK AND SURPRISED HIM WITH SLIP N SLIDES WITH PUDDING INSTEAD OF WATER HA AND DECIDED IT WOULD BE FUN TO ATTACK HIM WITH PAINT (PAINT BOTTLES, AND WATER BALLOONS FILLED WITH PAINT, YA KNOW THE WORKS) IT WAS CARZY!!! BUT TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH WE REALLY LOOKED RETARDED... HERE WE ARE FREEZING OUTSIDE IN THE MORNING SOAKED IN PUDDING AND PAINT AND THEN WE ASKED THIS NICE LADY IF WE COULD USE HER HOSE TO CLEAN OFF HA. WOW. ANYWAY AFTER ALL THE CRAZINESS, WE ALL WENT TO THE TACOMA, WA MISSIONARY TRANSFER MEETING, IT WAS SO INSPIRING TO SEE ALL THESE YOUNG MEN AND HEAR THEIR TESTIMONIES, IT WAS SO AMAZING. TRUE HAPPINESS.

SUN? OR RAIN?

So... summer is here. The wild flowers are blooming once again, the sun is shining, kids are playing, there's ice cream and popsicles, cute little bugs come out to play, the birds are out flying, people say "what more could you ask for?" WELL... hmmm... "lets see?" Besides the sun that shines in my face so i can't see and gives me a headache and makes me sleepy, or the kids that decide to run out in the middle of the road after the ice cream truck, or all of the lovely insects that try to attack me, along with their lovely friends the "devil birds" as I like to call them that love to wake me up nice and early... yeah;) ummm... I WANT A RAIN STORM. Sun sun go away come back another day. But... I have to remind myself "Happiness is a CHOICE" so I'm going to choose to be happy :) haha so I'm done complaining the fact is... that I truly love my life. There are so many new things that I seem to learn in life every day. And realize just how much I have to be grateful for: My family, who I am starting to understand more and more every day and see just how much they love me. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with them as my family, they truly are amazing people. I'm also so lucky for my wonderful friends that are ALWAYS there for me, and encourage me to be the best I can be. I have learned so much from them and they are amazing role models. I love my happy little puppy that makes me smile every morning, and my cozy bed i get to wake up in, and for my scriptures that bring so much joy and happiness, and for my heavenly father who is there for me... in my head all day :) always wanting me to be my best. I love you all and hope you're enjoying your wonderful summer. xoxo

Carlin Hill

So I just have to say that I found a great guy... his name's Carlin :) He always makes me feel better, and lifts me up when I have a down day. And for no reason will bring me a rose and a card just to tell me how much he appriciates me. It can't get better then that :) And whenever Im with him everything bad seems to go away. He is my best friend (here at home)... thats for u nikky ;) Anyway heres a pic of us, I look really grose but ya ha. love and miss you all. xoxo.

THE WONDERFULLY AWKWARD TUESDAY...

Tuesday was a very interesting day for me. It was very emotional... hopeful, sad, happy, curious, nervous, peaceful, concerned, confident, content, weird, and loved. All of these things I felt over an 8 1/2 hour talk. This talk reminded me that I always need to be open-minded, open-hearted, with a contrite spirit. I feel so comfortable with my faith, and love in the gospel, and question after question, that doesn't change. With the gospel comes such a wonderful peace that nothing else could ever fill. As I was talking to a wise lady she said, " Your faith journey is a never-ending winding road, you will make mistakes, and you will learn lessons. " Then a wise man said, " I believe you have found God... and I do not judge anyone that is searching for the truth, just remember to follow Jesus." When these things were said there were many things running through my mind. I could have looked at this almost like a slap in the face, but what they are saying is absolutely true. And the biggest feeling I received was happiness. Because I know that I HAVE found the truth, because I HAVE followed Jesus, and I did let them know that. Any way after our long, extremely draining talk, we were able to respect one another, and wanted this conversation to continue. I am so thankful that God has given me people to help me understand things, to make me feel loved, and to strengthen my testimony. All of my wonderful friends that are reading this, know that I love you SO much! Which is probably like 2-3 of you haha. I hope you have a wonderful day... know that you're loved xoxo
